What does it mean to you to be a girl?  To grow up in a female or female-identified body? To have the experiences of girlhood at a moment a woman is running for President of the United States?  What are the pressures and opportunities afforded to girls in 2016?  Join MSU professor and writer Robin Silbergleid for a writing workshop just for girls, ages 12-17.  We’ll read some short pieces of writing about girlhood and write some of our own.  Refreshments will be provided.  Workshop is limited to 15 participants.

Program date: Saturday, July 23, 1:30-3:00pm @ East Lansing Public Library
